Scribe Post (del.icio.us)

Hello everyone. It's November already.
This is Richard and It's my second scribe post.

We did not discussed any lesson today. What we did is we study how to improve our blog and for our better studying as well. It is making the bookmarks. All the bookmarks in one place.

Mr. K compares our blog to the blog of his previous grade 10 students pc20s. He emphasized one thing that we don't have in our blog. It is the del.icio.us. resources tag. This is where they put their bookmarks that is very helpful in their subject Pre-cal.

The website del.icio.us is a social bookmarking web service for storing, sharing, and discovering the web bookmark. The site came online in late 2003 and was founded by Joshua Schachter.
Everything posted to the dil.icio.us is publicly viewable by default although a user can mark specific bookmarks as private and imported bookmarks are private by default.

Mr. K gave us the homework regarding del.icio.us. We have to create a del.icio.us account. He also mentioned that using Mozilla Firefox is easier to use in creating an account.
If you don't have the firefox, click this site and download Mozilla Firefox.

Using Firefox instead of Internet explorer is more convinient to use. Aside from that, it protects our computer from viruses. It includes integrater pop up blocker, tabbed browsing, live bookmarks, support for open standards, a skinnable interface and an extension mechanism for adding functionality.

If you had a Mozilla firefox, you are now ready to create an account. Go to this site and register: del.icio.us

In the upper right side of the page, click register. Fill up the information needed. You don't need to put your last name on the full name. Then you have to install the "del.icio.us" button and the "tag" button or "post to del.icio.us" button. you will receive an e-mail after regarding your registration.
"del.icio.us" button is the home page of the site.
"post to del.icio.us" button is used when you want to tag a page or you want to include it in your bookmark.

Additional assignment: Find websites that is helpful to learn in Pre-cal. You should have 4 tags at this moment 1 each for 1 unit.

NOTES:
When tagging a page, always use pc40so6 as a tag.
Always log out.

And that's it for today...the next scribe will be LISA
